Random Posts...

I've seen a lot of entries lately where people are saying "If this is random, feel free to delete/deny/whatever." So it's making me think that the definition of "random" isn't very clear-cut. Here is the definition, straight from the userinfo:

Examples of what a "random post" is: "I saw this guy who looked like Jim today!" or "I had a dream about Jenna Fischer!" or "This song lyric reminds me of Ryan and Kelly!". Another good rule of thumb is to ask yourself, does this pertain directly to The Office, or does it pertain more to myself? If the answer is yourself, it's considered "random."

Basically if it's an anecdote about your life that The Office just happens to fit into, then it's random. If it's actually about The Office, then it's not. If you think it's random, or you're not sure, maybe you should go ahead and post it in the random thread anyway. There's no need to make the disclaimer in your post, it's either random or it's not.

If you have any questions on this, please let us know. Thanks.

Office Podcast

I hope this is allowed, so if it isn't you can delete.
I just wanted to let everybody know that I'm starting an Office podcast, and I'm looking for about 2-3 co-hosts and a couple of staffers. I have an app for potential co-hosts as my journal, so if you're interested, go ahead and apply :)

ETA: I think I'm done with co-hosts for now, but I may ask for more soon. I'm still looking for another staffer or two, so anybody can go ahead and apply for that ;)

An article about Jim Halpert's name

So I was just bored and reading random comments on Northern Attack when I saw this link about the origins of Jim's name, how Greg Daniels named Jim after his real-life friend James Halpert.

Okay, so not a big deal, but then I read the end of the article and guess what is the name of the real life Jim Halpert's wife?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/03/18/AR2006031800205.html

If this is too random, just feel free to delete the post. The article is from March as you can see, but back then the name really didn't ring bells. Coincidence? I think not!
